The final event on this year’s Body Glove USBA National Tour is just around the corner and the excitement for the 2010 SCION Jenk’s Pro has been building to a fever pitch. Forecasters are calling for one of the most active Atlantic hurricane seasons in recent history. The SCION Jenks Pro has been blessed with surf for seven years now, including the truly epic 6 – 10’ Ernesto swell of 2005 which provided what many say were the best contest surf for a mainland contest, ever. Even all-time great Jeff Hubbard loves the venue saying, “I can not believe how good the surf has been at Jenk’s over the past years.” We don’t want to jinx it here at the USBA, but we agree with Hubb and hope this year tops them all.

Along with the heat brewing in the Atlantic, there is also heat brewing for the USBA Open Men’s Pro Title. Below you will find the title scenarios that are still open, heading into Jenks.

Jeff Hubbard is in the current lead with 1720
Guilherme Tamega and Jacob Romero have both 1610
Spencer Skipper and Dave Hubbard both have both 1130

That means:
-If Guilherme or Jacob wins there is no chance for Jeff Hubbard to win the title
-if Jeff loose in the semi finals,TAMEGA or ROMERO need at least a 3rd
-if Jeff gets a 4th, GT or ROMERO need at least a 2nd
-if Jeff gets a 3rd, GT or ROMERO need to win
-if Jeff or GT go to semi there is no chance for SKIPPER

For the Women's Pro Karla Costa Taylor has Secured her first event USBA National Title

Trevor Cam has also secured his first ever Open Amateur National title

The 13-18 Amateur division is being dominated by JB Hilen, however there is still room for Shabaz Soaia to over take him if JB goes down in the first round at Jenks.

Amazing things are in store for this year’s event. Some of the helpful features that have been added to help traveling pros include transportation for all riders, hospitality and VIP lounges and sports massage and chiropractic throughout the event.
